Kitchen Sink Pump Not Working

The plastic pump mechanism that is attached to the press down dispenser in my kohler kitchen sink soap dispenser gets stuck in the down position so it is not.

When the sink soap dispenser is full but does not release any soap when the trigger of the pump is pressed the problem may lie with the tube that gathers the soap. Does not discharge soap. In hot water as the soap in the tube and pump mechanism has probably become thick and clogging the pump.
